Sewing

Growing in a house with a mother that was a clothing and textiles major at BYU meant that I had sewing projects during the summer. With that being said, I havent touched the sewing machine for years. (Probably since college when I got asked to make some seat covers for a friend's school project.) My mom gave me her 1940s Singer that I do love to use. I just havent anything that really made me want to pull it out.

But that recently changed. When we moved in, we wanted to paint. And we randomly picked Orange with no fore sight as to what else we would do. But its has come together. When my roommate bought the couches, they came with these hideous throw pillows that looked like that should have stayed in the 80s. Luckily, I had had some fabric laying around that would work perfectly. So I finally went to work. After not using a pattern or pins and a measuring tool, I created the following. It definitely looks better from a distance! I want to make another, but with different fabric.
